Chicken Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients:
- Bread slices: 4 (white or whole wheat)
- Cooked chicken: 1 cup (shredded or chopped)
- Mayonnaise: 2 tbsp
- Butter: 2 tbsp (softened)
- Lettuce leaves: 2
- Tomato: 1 (sliced)
- Cucumber: 1/2 (sliced)
- Cheese slices: 2 (optional)
- Salt: To taste
- Black pepper: To taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Filling:
- In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with mayonnaise.
- Add a pinch of salt and black pepper for seasoning.
2. Assemble the Sandwich:
- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
- On the buttered side of two slices, layer lettuce, sliced tomato, cucumber, and the chicken mixture.
- Add a cheese slice if desired.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing inward.
3. Toast or Serve:
- Option 1: Serve the sandwich as is for a fresh and soft texture.
- Option 2: Toast it in a sandwich maker or grill until golden brown and crispy.
4. Serve:
Cut the sandwich diagonally and serve with ketchup, mustard, or a side of potato chips.
