Egg Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients:
- Eggs: 2 (hard-boiled or scrambled)
- Bread slices: 2 (white, brown, or whole wheat)
- Mayonnaise: 1-2 tbsp
- Butter: 1 tbsp (softened)
- Salt: To taste
- Black pepper: To taste
- Lettuce leaves: 1-2 (optional)
- Tomato: 1 (sliced, optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Egg Filling:
If using hard-boiled eggs:
- Peel and mash the eggs in a bowl.
- Mix with mayonnaise, salt, and black pepper.
If using scrambled eggs:
- Whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Cook in a pan over medium heat until fluffy.
2. Prepare the Bread:
- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
- If you like, toast the bread lightly for a crispy texture.
3. Assemble the Sandwich:
- Place a lettuce leaf on one slice of bread (buttered side up).
- Add the egg filling evenly on top.
- Layer with tomato slices (optional).
- Cover with the second slice of bread, buttered side inward.
4. Serve:
- Cut the sandwich in half diagonally or into smaller squares.
- Serve with ketchup, chili sauce, or a side of fresh fruit.
