Egg Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Eggs: 2 (hard-boiled or scrambled)
  • Bread slices: 2 (white, brown, or whole wheat)
  • Mayonnaise: 1-2 tbsp
  • Butter: 1 tbsp (softened)
  • Salt: To taste
  • Black pepper: To taste
  • Lettuce leaves: 1-2 (optional)
  • Tomato: 1 (sliced, optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Egg Filling:

  1. If using hard-boiled eggs:

    • Peel and mash the eggs in a bowl.
    • Mix with mayonnaise, salt, and black pepper.
  2. If using scrambled eggs:

    • Whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper.
    • Cook in a pan over medium heat until fluffy.

2. Prepare the Bread:

  1. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  2. If you like, toast the bread lightly for a crispy texture.

3. Assemble the Sandwich:

  1. Place a lettuce leaf on one slice of bread (buttered side up).
  2. Add the egg filling evenly on top.
  3. Layer with tomato slices (optional).
  4. Cover with the second slice of bread, buttered side inward.

4. Serve:

  • Cut the sandwich in half diagonally or into smaller squares.
  • Serve with ketchup, chili sauce, or a side of fresh fruit.

Tip: Add extras like sliced avocado, cucumber, or a sprinkle of chili flakes for added flavor!
